In an age where information is increasingly available, we’re not short on places to find it. What we are short on is the time to sift through all the articles, publications, social posts, and vast amounts of information to get to the heart of what we need to know, particularly for Gen-Z.
As a part of our commitment to learning for life, we’re partnering with Now This, the #1 most-watched news brand on social, to launch Learn This, a first of its kind mini-series for Pearson that is focused on the topics that are affecting the world today. Leveraging the Now This team, our catalogue of Pearson authors, and voices our audience knows and trusts, we will give viewers the tools they need to both teach themselves and inspire a new generation of learning.
The series will start with six episodes on different topics and will feature a short video, article, and social content distributed across Now This’ vast audiences on the web and social.
Each episode is hosted by our Pearson Student in Residence, Naia Butler-Craig, an acclaimed graduate PhD candidate in aerospace engineering in Georgia Tech and founder of Black Girls in STEM, and will take viewers through each topic as she meets with experts and those affected by each topic.
The first episode, New Environmentalism, is out now and focuses on the small changes that you can make as a consumer to have a positive environmental impact on the world that we all inhabit. Upcoming topics will cover college life, the new space race, and the skills economy.
Our goal is for consumers to see us in more contextually relevant settings and to build trust with them as we increasingly focus on being a learning presence in their everyday lives.
Stay tuned to Now This and Pearson’s social channels over the coming months as we roll out additional episodes.
