Pearson Introduces AI-Powered Co-Writing Assistant for Clinical and Psychoeducational Evaluation Reports
Secure assistant built into Pearson’s Q-global® and Q-Interactive® platforms aims to cut report-writing time in half while keeping professionals in full editorial control
HOBOKEN, N.J. — Sept. 9, 2026 — Pearson has launched its AI-powered Co-Writing Assistant, a report-writing tool built specifically for professionals conducting psychological and educational evaluations. Integrated directly into Pearson's popular Q-global and Q-interactive platforms, the Assistant supports data interpretation and reduces documentation burden by generating draft reports while keeping clinicians firmly in control.
Why it matters: Psychologists, counselors and other clinical professionals across schools, healthcare settings, and private practices are facing growing caseloads, often with fewer resources. Report writing is an essential part of the clinical evaluation process, but it can consume hours that might otherwise be spent working directly with students, patients, and families.

How it works: The Co-Writing Assistant is built directly into Pearson's Q-Global and Q-interactive platforms, which are already used in healthcare settings and ~60% of school districts across the U.S. It draws assessment data from Pearson's Q platforms, combines it with clinician-provided notes and documents, and generates draft narrative sections of psychological and educational evaluation reports. Clinicians remain fully responsible for reviewing and editing content, interpreting assessment results, and finalizing reports.

It operates within Pearson's secure Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment, complies with applicable FERPA, HIPAA and HITECH requirements, and customer information is not shared with AI providers or used to train third-party AI models. All AI-related data handling follows Pearson's established privacy and security controls.
