Our Ambition

Our people are our greatest asset. As we transition to a digitally led, consumer-facing company, our colleagues play a pivotal role in our success, and our ability to make a positive impact on the world.

We’re focused on:

Employee engagement

We are driving better employee engagement and high performance.

Investing in talent

We are providing continuous learning, growth, and progress for our people.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion

We are nurturing a culture of belonging and increasingly diverse representation throughout the company.

Our Impact in the Community
In 2023, we launched Learning for Impact, a skills-based social impact initiative for our people. Eligible employees receive up to five paid days to volunteer. To date, employees have completed over 20,000 hours of volunteering.

“I am a volunteer with the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation (CCF), an organization that has had a profound impact on my family. My daughter was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at the age of 7. When I saw the Credly badges for volunteerism, I knew it would help me have a greater impact.”

“At Pearson’s Durham office, we work hard to create a welcoming and enriching community. There are opportunities for employees to volunteer, donate and fundraise. We have made meals for families in need and donated food to the Food Bank of Central and East North Carolina. We have hosted a toy drive, sorted through gifts with the Salvation Army, and written letters for people in need over the holidays. The positive results for the local community and volunteers are so worthwhile.”
