Pearson Partners with CATTI in China, Charting a New Chapter in Language Assessment
BEIJING, November 4, 2024 – Pearson (FTSE: PSON.L), the world’s lifelong learning company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Management Center of China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters (CATTI Management Center), an organisation under the China International Communications Group, announcing their collaboration on the world-recognised Pearson Test of English (PTE) in China. The MoU also pledges to expand skills-based education for English learners.
Both parties will leverage their resources to enhance language assessment in China, promoting and supporting continuous improvement in this area. Through their cooperation, both parties look forward to enabling English learners to combine both their language-based skills and vocational skills, thus satisfying the increasing demands that China's professionals will have to meet in the new, globalised era.
